Truck cab surfacing work, some adaption of textures included with the stock asset (like switch labels), some new textures for things like dash materials. The screens also required some significant overhaul to allow for dynamic graphics, such as speed

The same shot, but converted for medium duty trucks. This shot was generated from the van shot by simply replacing the vehicle reference, only slight reframing of the cameras was needed

For the last 6 months or so I've been working on expanding SambaSafety's "PRO-DEFENSE" product to the UK (it was previously US-only). This had lots of new challenges, as the vast majority of our assets were obviously North American vehicles and roads. We needed to cook up new environments, or extensively modified using new asset kits we also had to build. Our hero trucks had to be replaced entirely with all-new models that used a European-style cabover design, and our existing van and car hero models needed to be converted to right hand drive. Oh, and all the good cabover trucks on Turbosquid were also left-hand drive for the continent, so after getting those we had to mod them to RHD too!

The company wanted all 4 vehicle types to be supported from day 1 for their customers, which meant any shot that featured the hero vehicle needed to be made 4 times, for van, car, medium truck, and heavy truck. We made some upgrades to our vehicle rig template to better share settings between vehicles. Thanks to this system, we could animate many parameters once and have them immediately update when swapping reference paths. Synced parameters included vehicle position/rotation, wheel spin, steering position(including auto-setting it from a path), doors open/closed, headlight/turn signal/brake light state, and more!

The final product consisted of 8 different video series, each for 4 different vehicle types. I believe we had over 1000 shots total across all vehicle types by the end.
